What are You Buying a Little Extra of [because of rising prices]?

With rising food and goods prices, has anyone started buying a little extra when they go shopping?
We bought 10 packs of cotton buds but that was more because we didn't see any for ages - they must have had hundreds of packs on the shelf so didn't feel much guilt.
We accidently bought about 10 packs of dishwasher tablets due to free samples with vouchers for the full pack + a local deal on laundry and dishwashing from Morrisons.
We also bought about 5 rolls of Asda Smartprice sandwich bags as they became hard to find as our local supermarket got rid of a load of Smartprice stuff - we don't visit a bigger store often.
Certainly not going with the toilet paper and pasta trend but is there anything else people may not think to buy that you have thought to buy a bit more of, purely for the potential price rises in the future?

I am happy to say that I am not stockpiling anything, if people start doing that then there is a potential for stock problems for others and an even bigger price increase due to demand.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Nothing. Because stockpiling and/or selfish excessive buying behaviour, will only exacerbate the current problems even further.

I'm not sure there's ever going to be a run on ear cleaners (? what they ?), dishwasher tablets or sandwich bags though ..... none are what this household would consider essential items that we couldn't manage without.

I am not stockpiling anything but my supplies have been kept healthy since 2020.

Coffee has already started going up because they use gas burners to roast the beans. (But I won't be stockpiling)0

Not stockpiling at all & never have done & never will.
Always have one in use & one in hand of most things.

I’m not starting to stockpile, I am continuing to maintain the supplies that I already have in stock that have proved very useful over the last couple of years.I have bought two 15kg bags of dog food that I wouldn’t normally have, but that was more to make use of a voucher with a minimum spend. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Always kept a healthy supply of coffee, loo roll, laundry supplies, toiletries, dishwasher tablets.
Something I’ve always done , I tend to buy extra when the brands I use are on special offer.
Wouldn’t call it stockpiling though.2 -
I have a 'two is one, one is none' system, so I basically have two bags of rice, pasta, packs of sponges, tins of beans and tomatoes for two chillies... Anything that's not going to go off, including things like cheese. When I open the second, I replace the 'spare'. That means good stock rotation.
I also love batch cooking and have a small chest freezer full of my creations, along with a normal fridge freezer for store bought frozen.
Some might call it stockpiling, but my Facebook memories will confirm that two years ago today I was joking that my lifestyle meant I was well prepped for a pandemic.
It comes from being disabled and unable to drive because of it. I'm now living with a partner who can drive, but these old habits are good ones! If something isn't available (or I want to wait til it's on offer) it's rarely a big deal.5 -
