The payment for my credit card is due on the 16th of this month, but it's saying that payment will be made on or after the 16h... as of 22:00 (15th) the money still hasn't gone out of my account. I got a credit card and linked my debit card with it to build some credit history, but now I'm anxious that the money will go out late and that I will have a late payment. Is this normal? Should I be worried? I don't even want to be a day late in this payment but it's now 2 hours away from the due date.

  • It has gone out. For some reason I seem unable to delete my post so it seems it will remain here. Weird.

Hi, when it's the first post in a thread you're not able to delete it and have to ask the forum team by emailing them -

Here's a link to the reasons why -

Scroll down to Section 6, FAQs. Then scroll down to the 6th question.

When you set up a direct debit to pay off your credit card, though, they usually do advise you to make a payment if you think your initial direct debit payment isn't going to be taken in time.

I have to say that sometimes banks do work in mysterious ways. But usually get there in the end. Glad it all worked out well for you.

There are current accounts that tell you the day before when a direct debit is due to go out.... Starling, Monzo, Revolut

If the payment is due on the 16th, the DD usually goes on that day unless otherwise specified, I checked my cards and that is how they line up
