I realised that EDF is already charging the April rates on my smart meter!
I was wondering why my usage was so high today and in the settings I saw that they're already charging 29,23p per KWH which is the new amount from April on
Anyone else has that problem?
Trying to call them but stuck in the waiting line.

It is your bill that confirms what EDF have charged you not your smart monitor.0

But how can I monitor my usage when they're charging the wrong prices on the meter...0

It might help you reduce your consumption even more if you think it is costing you more !0

I already do EVERYTHING to keep my consumption as low as possible...
I gave myself an allowance for the month, but now I can't check if I am in the allowance or not...
For sure I'm checking my bill very very carefully but I'm always doing my own maths every month...0 -

I gave myself an allowance for the month, but now I can't check if I am in the allowance or not...Just set it to the kWh display and multiply by the correct price and add the standing charge for the day....Only two weeks and it'll be correct again...

Just look at it like this, you are able to get into good practice controlling consumption in readiness for the price hike in April. As has been pointed out, as long as the bill rates are correct (mine were, they went up) then there isn't a major issue.

Your much better off monitoring your usage in KWH because then you will get an idea of what is good and what is bad usage for your house which can help you minimise usage. If you monitor in £'s only then your "normal" usage will change everytime the price changes which makes it difficult to see if your usage has increased purely due to energy being more expensive or if your actually using more energy.
