Internet browser faster over WiFi than Ethernet connection

Yes it's the BT Smart Hub. Printer is Brother HL-L2350DW. Laptop is Dell Inspiron

Speed test doesn't indicate any speed difference, but screen updates were definitely slower with the ethernet cable in place. I've disconnected it .

Thanks for the help everybody. I'm going to put the problem down to a dodgy Ethernet cable and not worry about it. Everything works well wirelessly so it's really not worth the hassle of taking the investigation further. Thanks again.
