Another option would be to apply for something like the 118118 money card, fee and interest free to transfer a balance on to it, and if you then transfer balance away from it before the bill is due process sorted. If credit limit is too low, no problem, just do it in a few chunks at a time. a slight faff but makes use of the new card you already have. Or you could just play silly beggers each day at the cash machine withdrawing the max and paying credit card off in cash, cash withdrawals are fee interest free too if you transfer the balance before due date (from the 118118 card that is, hugely experience to do cash withdrawals on your other balance transfer cards and not fee/interest free and sometimes invalidates the offer)

If you're wanting them to change their decision, forget it.  All banks will refuse to do a balance transfer from other cards in the same group.

I had the Lloyds Avios credit card and you could do transfers to and from Halifax and MBNA cards. Back and forth. It was a way of printing unlimited Avios free of charge as they had a recurring no fee BT offer and all BTs paid out points!

I used to call this scheme the LBG ping pong.
