NEED HELP - QUIT JOB and CLAIM UC

Hello,
Thank you in advance.
I have been working for the last year in a call center taking calls all day. I had so high expectations and I like the job but not the company. My current job made me ill and now I am taking drugs prescribed by my doctor. I did not say anything at work about it. I have anxiety, panic attacks an sleeping disorders. The jobs is unrealistic demanding, contradictions between managers, IT issues all the time and negative feedback all the time. The rotation of the people is so high because employees they cant stay, so rotation is so high. Today I had a meeting because I have been sick the three days the last month and they gave me a verbal warning for being sick. I cant deal it anymore.
Doctor advised me to take two weeks sick off but I did not want it but is insisting I am not fine to work. After today, with this warning and the pressure all the time on me i decided to leave the job but I cant pay my rent. I am getting universal credit (100 per month they pay me) and they told me if i have changes I only need to report it.
I am really scared to quit the job, start looking for a new one but Universal Credit do not pay me to pay my bills meanwhile.
I have been offered to a part time job which I am considering just to leave the current one, but I do not know if Universal Credit they will reject to pay more because I changed voluntarily.
Can anyone help?
I am alone in UK and I am desperate to manage my life now but I cannot continue in that company.
Thank you to everyone.
Thank you in advance.

Nobody can tell you for sure if they will pick it up or not, what will happen as if you have no earnings in an assessment period you will be invited for a work coach meeting.
If its making you ill then you clearly need to do something, whether you can bear to wait until you have a new job is your decision, best of luck.
Someone will correct me if I am wrong but even you were sanctioned its only on your personal allowance not your housing costs."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

OP, you should only be sanctioned if UC decided you left your job without good reason. If you have a Fit Note from your GP and resign then UC should not sanction you. If you have a Fit Note you should report it to UC.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
First of all, thank you for your reply,
Just I need to clarify:
1- if you quit voluntarily your job you have a sanction and you do not get any money, housing included. Is that right? Or only affects the personal allowance?
2- If the new employee offer me the part time job, will be taking the UC still or there are sanctions to go part time?
Regarding to Fit Note, doctor is calling me the 24th again to prescribe stronger drugs. Should I ask for a Fit Note on that date or I resign the job?
My intention is continue working but the Doctor told me I should be recovering for a while but she didn't say how long.
I am worried more with not paying my bills and rent than my own health.
If someone could help I would appreciate it. I am still lost.0 -
If you have a fit note from your GP because of a health condition then you shouldn't be sanctioned, if you quit your job.If you earn more than 16 x NMW then you won't be able to be referred for a work capability assessment unless you're receiving PIP or DLA.Remember, that UC doesn't take into consideration the bills you have to pay. There will be a maximum amount of UC you're entitled to depending on your circumstances.0
