Wall Tie Replacement

Hi we are purchasing a property and our survey came back saying we need wall tie replacement as the house was built in the 1930s. I have read some things online suggesting it is better to get the old ties removed completely and a new system installed rather than just getting the old ties isolated and just wanted some more opinions on this as i assume removing the old ties completely is a much bigger job. We have been quoted 3.5k for isolation of old ties and installation of new system for a 3 bed semi does this sound about right?

I had this issue in the property I bought back in 2010 (was built in 1935) and I persuaded the vendor to get the work done and pay for it (I literally couldn't have done so - I would have had to back out of the house if they'd not agreed to pay) and the quote to remove and replace was about £2k then (2-bed terraced house) so yours doesn't sound ridiculous in comparison. The vendors managed to get it done by a builder friend of theirs for mates rates, so think they only paid about £850 in the end.0
