Travelling to the US in April. Guidance states that we must all test the day before travel OR provide documentation of recovery from covid in the last 90 days. We've all has covid recently so this applies to us. My question is whether the children (who are not vaccinated) can use the documentation of recovery or if they still need to test? I've read the guidance but just need some clarification on this. Many thanks

I expect lateral flow tests would be a simpler solution that going down the recovery route. US require a letter that would involve a private doctor and likely cost £70+ each

Thanks for your reply. I've had a look into the cost of the letters and it is a little ridiculous! Was just curious to know our options

Also the documentation if recovery would negate the need for them having to test on day 3-5 while we are there

NHS do not provide documentation of recovery that meets what US requires - if you want to obtain one rather than test - you will have to pay for them privately.

Yes thankyou I have seen a few places that will give us what we need (at a crazy cost!). Just wanted clarity on whether this would be an option for the children. I think it is but travel anxiety makes me question myself! Thanks for replying
