I'm trying this out. Its a ball with beads in it and its supposed to replace washing powder. Any one used it and how did you find it?

we have been using them for about three years. Not had a problem and I no longer use fabric conditioner either. I use ald* gel bio for every fourth wash of
whites just to give them a brighten but other than that just use the egg and it’s been fine

Been using one for about a year, it's OK for cleaning at lower temperature, you will need stain remover if clothing needs a deeper clean.£71.93/ £180.002

I've used one for a few years and I really like it. It's great for most washes but not for anything with more difficult stains, such as grease.
I use a little Daz powder instead for those washes and as suggested above I also wash whites in powder occasionally, to keep them looking white.
I use the egg for at least 9 out of10 of my washes.

I've used one for about 6 months, and before that an eco-washball for several years, and have been very happy with the results, though I do use oxy-bleach too for heavily-stained items - the mud from my allotment is very persistent, not to mention grass-stains. The egg is actually a better shape to survive constant agitation; the ball often broke open & spilled its beads inside the drum; easily retrieved & replaced, but it's a nuisance. Would heartily reccomend.Angie - GC Sept 25: £311.65/£450: 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 28/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)3

Thanks all. I'm getting a slightly musty smell after washing. May need to deep clean washing machine.2

I had that too, even with a brand new machine. I sacrifice a tea towel to wipe the rubber seal and leave the door open for about 30 mins to an hour - seems to work

I used one a few years ago. They are fine for clothes that just need freshening up, like tops and trousers. But as said you need a stain remover. I think they work even if you use it just every third wash.
