Howdy!
Apologies if posted in wrong section .Please move if necessary .
Last years premium £152.34 ... renewal offer £128.82 ( price includes insurance premium tax)
This includes Accidental Dmage, Home Emergency Cover, and Family Legal Protection etc .something I thought may have been omitted in error .

Please forgive me for being naive , but surely insurance always goes up and not down ?

New rules in-force about company’s not offering new policy holders cheaper deals, and others policy holders paying for this, so averaging down.A thankyou is payment enough .1

Perhaps with many people WFH. Claims reduced. Risk is priced.1

Something that I couldn't ( and still can't ) understand is why loyal customers tend to pay more and tend to keep changing. With my present provider, the price increased by £10 a year so I stayed .The insurance Co I used before them for one yer made a massive increase which I declined to move to this company ..0

Just had my renewal from the post office. Last year £127, this coming year £122.1

My renewal arrived last week and showing around £120 dearer than last year. Looked online as a new customer and the quote was around the same as I paid last year.
Phoned insurer to ask why? Their response was they'll reduce my premium back to last years amount.1 -
I do that each year. I don't really want to move if I can avoid it so I ring them up and challenge the need to increase the premium and they reduce it each time.Jaybee_16 said:My renewal arrived last week and showing around £120 dearer than last year. Mine was down too (Quote Me Happy). Happy days!
I still do a quick check before renewing. I don't bother with a comparison site because of all the spam phone calls that follow, but I do quotes with e.g. Direct Line and one or two others. I do the same for car insurance.1
