Small/micro Business energy

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has knowledge about the energy market for businesses. We qualify as a 'microbusiness'.

I took over some commercial premises at the end of last year. The previous tenant was on a great deal which obviously I can't use. I have been put on 'deemed' prices.

Right now, with the state of the energy market as it is, the deemed prices (even with a recent price hike this month ) are still considerably cheaper than any 1 or 2 year fixes, with the 3 year fixes being at a similar price point. I'm hesitant to do anything as  however i'm aware that the prices I am on can change at any moment.

If we look to fix and move supplier, are there any ways to get out of the fix (e.g. by paying a cancellation charge/going through a notice period) or are we tied in to the prices and supplier come rain or shine?
