Morning all.
The longer I wait for someone to start the thread the more likely it is that there'll be a double post. 😀 I'll be back!

Good morning from cloudy London☁️we're here visiting our daughter. We drove up for the first time and the drive wasn't too bad except for the endless 50mph stretches on the motorway. Why build roads for speed then slow them down🙄
Had a lovely day yesterday, I don't know what our plans are for this morning, we ate loads yesterday but I'm sure we'll manage some more, then we'll head back home this afternoon as it's a 200 mile journey 🚘
Have as good a day as you can 🌻

Good morning
Everyone must be enjoying a lie in
Will be going down to sit with dad this morning as mam is going to church. Plan to start paint my old garden bench this afternoon, as it's meant to stay dry.
Yesterday afternoon was strange - sunshine one minute rain the next. I had a lazy couple of hours reading and a nice long chat with eldest DD in Germany.
Hopefully they'll come to jet wash the paving stones this week then I can start getting the garden properly tidied.
I'm going to do my banking before I get dressed.
Hope everyone has a good day. Take care x

Safe driving Sunfl0w3r.It's very blustery outside, almost perfect drying weather but rain is forecasted so I'll hold off until tomorrow. Yesterday there was heavy rain for most of it until the early evening when the sun came out and the wind died right down. That's when I emptied the car and then had a very brief sit outside watching the start of sunset over Jura. Spring is creeping back. I also portioned up the semi-bolognaise sauce into freezer soup bags, squashed them flat and stuck them in the freezer.Today I will be doing more scanning 😵💫 and making red pepper'ish soup. I've got a butternut squash to use up so will try a hybrid. How awful could it be? 😅 I'll report back.Thoughts to our poorlies, it's good to read that Poppy has her boiler repaired. I hope that TA and Izzy both had a wonderful day yesterday.Happy Sunday to all.11

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Probably a flying visit from me, just waiting for the DGDs to emerge from bed. Middle one has Renaissance Arts and as DD is working it's her friend's mums turn for the arduous journey to Leeds.
So that will leave just me and the youngest until DD finishes work mid afternoon. How I ever found the energy to look after 3 under 6 a few years back I really don't know! But there again I was about 10 years younger! They are easier these days thankfully and it's just a constant round of meal making!
Te*co delivery at lunchtime, mostly f & v and a few store cupboards items. An email tells me I have no subs or oos. Wow!
Thanks all for the good wishes yesterday. I had a lovely birthday with lots of nice things. Flowers, chocs, smellies and an assortment of things for the garden. Solar sun and string lights etc from df and from DD lots of birdie things - feeders, bird baths etc. The back garden needs a good after winter sort out before they can all go out.
Well I hear movement from upstairs so it's bye for now. Have a good day all and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care one and all and stay safe xx

Hi everyone,
I'm glad you had lovely days Izzy and TA.
My days at the moment are either very quiet or by contrast hectic looking after Esben. He and Brian had a daddy/laddie day because Laura was at College and Brian was very proud that Esben loved the bagpiper busking they passed.
I have no real news today, I seem to be stuck in a bit of a rut but if it stays fine I'll try to get out for a walk. Pork medallions for dinner, the enchiladas last night came out really well, I'll definitely make them like that in future, much less of a faff than the mexican recipe I have though probably not as authentic.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning all
Dry here for the time being but more rain due later, I have got the bedding in the wm so that will have to go in the td if it does rain.
Went and got the shopping yesterday with dd, and bought a new oil cloth table cloth, our one has seen better days, I got an Orla Kiely one which is lovely but a bit more expensive but we do use it every day and it looks very nice ! I also got new oven gloves and a measuring jug, so had quite a spend up !
Onto today I am going to make a lamb and beef curry for dinner, it was meant to be just lamb but the packet I ordered is so tiny it wont even feed one of us, it was expensive too so wont make that mistake again, I will make it this morning and then cook it in the oven this afternoon so its nice and tender.
Will get the dogs out for a good walk later and then have a rest this afternoon.
Glad the Birthday Grils had a good day yesterday xx
Have good days all xxx11 -
Hello all, last night's weather was a bit hairy with gale force winds and lashing rain, everything seems to still be in tact though 😱. Now this morning it's just grey and damp again with that blustery wind.
I got everything done yesterday plus cleaning the cooker top, the kitchen worktops, bleaching the sinks and pickling some beetroot. I did not do the dreaded ironing though so I'll make a start on it this morning, I've only got a pair of jeans and a pair of best trousers left to wear in the wardrobe ! There are several tops to iron too but I have plenty of those ready to wear so I'll see how I go, might get in the swing of it 🤔. More jigsaw-ing is on the cards for this afternoon, it's really starting to come together now. I can't do too much at a time, as much as I'd like to, as I get back ache easily, think it's the many arm movements from the box to the board.
Tea tonight will be roast chicken, roasties and lots of veg for me, followed by fresh fruit salad and cream/ice cream or custard.
Nels are you ok ? Did the PJ's fit your Mum length wise ?
Hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing.
Take care all, stay safe and well

Good afternoon everyone.
Gers, I was going to start the thread at about 7am, but started to read the newspaper, and got absorbed in that.
Hope everyone's ok, it's a fine day now after a gloomy start.10 -
Dry here when we went to Church but raining now. The Corps Officer has Covid plus one of the band members.
The Alpha course for tomorrow is cancelled at SA.
My Headteacher DD has had to close a class as a lot of her teachers and teaching assistants have Covid. So a lot of Covid in Kent - the highest rate is Swale.
Plan to do some knitting this afternoon.
