Kitchen worktop height low

  • Do you mean that the high wall cabinet height meant that you reduced the height of the floor units initially? I see how that would be a problem.

    i'm 193cm tall and I had my kitchen fitted as high as possible according to the legs, it's still only 920mm after the floor tiles went down but I think every little helps. I think if I had to use a worktop at 870mm for any length of time I'd be looking at a back injury.
    infact if I did another kitchen I'd consider making it 50mm higher.
    I've worked in houses purposely built for extra-tall people before, 7ft doors(2133mm) and 1m worktops and it made me jealous!

    If the work surfaces, and especially the sink, are too low it means us tall people unfortunately can't help in the kitchen. :)
