DVLA renewal of driving license

Hi,
I went to post office to renew my driving licence and was told that the digital system was down and they told me to fill in a form and send it in but that means I need to go and take a photo etc... And i heard it's a long delay in posted renewals, so I really wanted to do the digital in post office which is more expensive at £21.50 but what do you do when their system is down?
Any ideas....
Lars

Why not do it online?

Ask them when they think it will be fixed or find another PO who does them, assuming you don't have a valid passport to do it online.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

As has been said do it online.
Quick & simple (recently done so) and my new one was with me in no more that 7 days.0
