Electricity rates

Hi,
I'm using EDF and are on safeguard assist capped tariff, paying bu DD
My rates are:
Electricit unit rates  29.64p per kWh
Daily standing charge 32.15p /day
Looking at the price cap are these rates not higher than they should be??
Appreciate some comments
Regards
Lars

If you’re in London they’re spot on the cap.

Not higher, just worked out differently. It’s all regional. If you find one of QrizB’s posts and click on the link in their signature you’ll find all the rates set out there.

These will be the rates from 1 April, not right now.

In the south west where I live the standing charge is 51.6 p so your rates look cheap to me! The unit price is about 1p cheaper for me but I'd be paying less overall in London.
  • This is the rates in march, and I'm in Westminster

No, these are the rates from 1 April. Some energy companies are displaying these rates currently but if you look closely you'll see somewhere a note that they are not the current rates.
