Four star hotels and three star superior hotels | 3.30 €* |
One, two and three star hotels | 2.20 €* |

Apartments with three upper keys | 3.30 €* |
Tourist apartments with one, two and three keys | 2.20 €* |

Tourist taxes are common in many countries and are there to support the infrastructure you will use during your stay.
I don't think that a tax from €2.20/night is overly excessive. You'll likely pay a lot more than that in council tax, and you'll still need everything this provides with the exception of schools.💙💛 💔0 -
Paying over the equivalent of 800 euros in Council Tax? I don't think so.
