Octopus Go - Dedicated EV charger required?

I'm about to get solar panels and a battery system, and the installer has mentioned Octopus Go, but I've now spotted the EV requirement. Is there any way that they'd check or know if I signed up and used the off peak rates to charge my home battery system? Electricity is electricity right?0

Electricity is electricity right?Well for a start you would be guilty of fraud, but if you skip past that, depending on how big your battery is and how fast it charges, 'Go' may not even be the best option for you...
