Can I transfer the balance of a closed account?

Your alternative would be a money transfer card, pay off the debt and then pay the MT off - if you got a 0% one, happy days, if not, send the MT balance to the BT card like a normal transfer

Yeah. That is what I ended up having to do in the end. Luckily I was preapproved for a 0% balance card so I was less nervous about applying for new credit. The 0% only lasts a year, but with the money I am saving from the interest, I should have most if not all of it paid off by then.

I was only able to get a transfer for 50% but that should reduce the interest by a large amount. I plan on doing larger payments to clear the closed account ASAP and just the minimum on the new one until then. Wish I had known about these cards sooner as I would have saved myself so much on interest.
