    If you want to see some "benefit" then start using the big appliances, like washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer in the middle of the day, preferably on a sunny day.  If you are out at work, set them on a timer to do that.

    Install one of the many solar PV diverters to send excess solar PV to your immersion heater.

    None of this will affect what the panel owners receive in FIT payments, it just lets you self use more of it without it exporting to the grid.

    I have recently installed (self installed ) solar PV and now, with no FIT available for new installs, it pays for itself purely by self usage to reduce my bills.  I am self using about £500 worth each year, or put it another way, if I did not have them, I would be paying £500 per year more for my electricity.  There is no reason you cannot make similar savings, just by shifting as much electricity usage as possible to the middle of the day.
