Still waiting for AVRO credit into Octopus
Hi All,
Not sure if there is a dedicated forum for this(Can't find one??) but I was nearly £1000 in credit when AVRO went down, and I'm still waiting for this to be transferred. Octopus keep telling me to wait another 2 weeks. They have taken 3 months DD now and all showing in the account, but no usage taken. What is going on??

There is no actual transfer of credit balances. For this too happen, all consumer payments would have had to be held by Avro in an escrow account. Once Octopus and Avro's Administrator have agreed your Final Account, then Octopus will self-fund your credit balance (less, I assume, any unsecured creditor pennies in the £ payment from Avro). Octopus will then engage with Ofgem regarding how much it can re-claim for the credit balance payments it has made. In the past, claims were reduced by an amount saved by not having to pay out on such things as referral fees; that is, Octopus has gained 580000 customers for nothing. Once the support payment claim has been agreed, then Ofgem will pass the cost on to the National Grid who in turn will pass it on to energy suppliers and then to all energy consumers.MM2002 said:Hi All,Not sure if there is a dedicated forum for this(Can't find one??) but I was nearly £1000 in credit when AVRO went down, and I'm still waiting for this to be transferred.
