Smartparking.com how to pay?

I'm trying to stay away from their 0845 number as this will make this bad parking experience even worse. They should advertise how much it costs to call the number, but a lot seems to be bad about this company.
anyone with experience in using the online payment service?

How can they? 0845 is a "lo-call" number and the cost to you is set by your telephone provider not the company as there is no service charge. BT landline standard is 20.9p/min, O2 is 45p/min on PAYG or 55p/min on contractDevizes2008 said:I'm trying to stay away from their 0845 number as this will make this bad parking experience even worse. how would I know there is no service charge? sorry off topic. But still this would be on top of the £60 quid that I have to pay.
Ofcom states:The cost of calling 0843, 0844 and 0845 numbers is made up of two parts: an access charge going to your phone company, and a service charge set by the organisation you are calling.
The service charge for calls to 084 numbers is between 0p and 7p per minute. The service charge must be clearly displayed wherever the phone number is advertised or promoted.
The access charge – which is additional to the service charge – will vary depending on your phone company, and can range from 8p to 67p per minute. Choose a provider from the table below for more information on their pricing.

Appears the rules have changed since I last looked... used to be 0845 was no service charge and the other 084 numbers could have a 0-7p service charge but Ofcom now allows the same service charge on 0845 but rules it must be stated wherever the phone number is promoted.Devizes2008 said:how would I know there is no service charge? sorry off topic. In theory if it doesn't say then it should be 0 else they are in breach of the Ofcomm rules but as we are talking about a parking company that probably doesn't give much confidence.0 -

Take screenshots of payment issue, email them and say I’ve tried to pay.
That way if they put up the charge, you can say see you in court.
At court, provide copy of email and screen shots.
Why not go onto the parking forum and see if they can help,you.2 -
Why the heck are you trying to pay Smart Parking? A PCN from them is nothing more than an invoice - it is NOT A PENALTY! 🙄
Take a read of the NEWBIES Announcement thread in the Parking board ... and ask a board guide to move this thread to there.Jenni x3
