I am classed as I being in Border group today I discovered that the Warm home discount. I applied for and was told I was going to get I am now not going to get Due to  my Engery company going bust.just before February when I  was meant to get it British told they would not honner the warm home discount. And I was told Appications had closed. I wonder if this has also happen to them as I ve lost £140/through no fault of my own

I'm afraid it's just bad luck.  Your energy supplier was too cheap and went bust, so your contract ended.  Millions are in the position of being moved to new suppliers on new contracts with new rates, most of them likely to be more expensive than the rate they were on with their old supplier.

If you had been notified that your application had been accepted then as long as that information was passed on the British Gas by your failed supplier, it should have been honoured by British gas as per their FAQ:

I would suggest calling again and tell them you are not trying to apply now, but you are expecting them to honour the statement they made in relation to those joining them under the Supplier of Last Resort process...

Do make sure you have a copy of the formal acceptance of your application from your previous supplier though...

If they only said that it should be accepted, or will be accepted that may not be enough...

Not all the CS staff are well briefed on matters related to the Supplier of Last Resort process so if they say no again tell them you wish to make a complaint, that should get it escalated to people who may know more about it...
