Hi, we are electric only usage 2700kw per year.
Are you sure? That seems VERY low for an electricity only home.

(You mean kWh not kW by the way.)
Yes the reading is correct. 2700 kWh. We have oil for heating and water.

The big problem is guessing what the October price cap will be and then the following April.  The fixed rates being quoted just now suggest they are expecting it to be very substantial, 100%?

I really don't know what I would do as all scenarios are horrific BUT could get a lot worse who knows.  Thank goodness I fixed for 2 years last September my current fix is £2100/annum if I fixed today it would be £6012/annum (10,000KW/annum) and maximum of a 1 year fix.

Prices are all over the place at present. Yesterday the wholesale price of gas dropped very significantly - another few days like that and we would all be wondering what the problem was, but of-course that is not what will happen. We will probably see prices gyrate wildly in both directions and the longer term pricing seems to be as volatile as prices for the next day.

Remember that volatile markets provide opportunities, and the big suppliers will have people watching for these and ready to take advantage when they occur.
