Anyone with an online Yorkshire Building Society account able to explain this:

Today I transferred a significant amount into the savings account. At first it showed next to a 'green arrow icon' and was added to my test amount. Then above that it shows next to a 'red arrow icon' as if its going out of the account. The balance next to it has returned back to the original test amount.
Is that normal, or am I about to embark on a major financial scare!

I contacted my bank and they have no info to say its being returned and confirmed they have not recalled it. So I wont know until I contact YBS tomorrow to find out why.
If its an error and I get the funds back, it will make me doubt YBS. I've never had this issue before moving savings around.0 -

It’s just a number of folks including myself keep getting deposits rejected when using a debit card.
I have logged a complaint with YBS a week ago, they say they are aware of the problem but as yet, it’s still not fixed. I tried today and one payment went through and the next was rejected. It may not be the same problem you are having but all in all, it’s not great.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -

@Daliah
The penny dropped this morning:
I opened an ‘Internet Saver Plus Issue 10’, instead, what was opened is an ‘Internet Saver ISA Plus Issue 10’. That issue has now been resolved.
However, I already have an ISA which was paid into during the 2021/22 tax year, so now I have a second ISA which received £10 in the same tax year.
I’ve requested the YBS account to be closed, but unsure what to do regarding two ISA’s both receiving funds in the same tax year.

Oops.
The advice from HMRC if you have paid into more than one ISA of the same type in the same tax year is that you do nothing about it until they tell you / your provider what to do. Though YBS should be able to close the second ISA and return your tenner, so HMRC will never know.
If YBS decline to close the second ISA, it can take many months before HMRC get in touch, as they don't get the year-end reports from all the ISA providers before late summer, and then they have to run their own analysis. As you had just put a tenner into the second ISA, my guess is that HMRC would let you off. You might get a stern letter telling you not to do it again, but they might not even bother.
Shame that YBS didn't stop you from depositing the tenner into the second ISA in the first instance, but at least they stopped you from getting yourself into deeper trouble. Fifteen all, methinks. Glad you know the reason now.1 -
@Daliah
Panic sets in when HMRC are on the menu. I rushed in to find a solution (request the account be shut). After a moment of calm, I realised about the helpline and their advice 'do not attempt to resolve it yourself'.
It could have been a lot worse. The funds were cancelled because they were over the £20k limit for an ISA transfer. If I don't hear back from YBS by next week, I'll call HMRC and do what any normal law abiding person does: beg0
