Joint mortgage with student - funding mortgage payments from letting income?

I have an inheritance which I would like to put down as a deposit for a buy to let mortgage. My daughter is a student and has some savings which she could invest in the property too. However, she would like to live in the property and let out the other room/rooms to students to fund the mortgage repayments. Is it possible? Are there any lenders that would entertain it?

You can get mortgages with 2 people on the mortgage and only one on the property deeds. So your daughter would own the property and you would both be liable for the mortgage. You can also gift her a deposit.

we are setting this up with Barclays, but our child isn’t a student, though if you have sufficient income it won’t be a problem. They won’t consider the rental income from other rooms, so you would need to be earning enough to avoid it alongside your other commitments.
