Credit balance with Utility Point prior to switching to Together Energy but both firms gone bust !
Not sure where we stand here and how we go about claiming a credit balance we had with Utility Point.
We switched energy supplier from Utility Point to Together Energy back in July 21, we also moved house in July. When we switched we were assured that our credit would be paid back to us but to date we haven't received a penny and we are not able to contact Utility Point as they stopped trading in September.
Together Energy, our new supplier from July 21 also stopped trading from January 22. We were on a fixed rate deal with them and initially paid £95/mth by direct debit but they increased this to £255 from Dec which seemed ridiculously high considering our usage hadn't really increased. Our account has now transferred to British Gas so if we have any credit on our account with Together Energy then I'm sure that has transferred to British Gas but how do we go about claiming the credit that hasn't been refunded by Utility Point? Would appreciate any steer here as this credit will help with future increases - many thanks
