BA companion voucher extension? Advice please?

I was rewarded my first BA companion voucher and it is due to expire in June. I cannot use this by this date due to having so many other postponed flights from lockdown. And a lack of annual leave.
Has anyone Been able to extend their voucher?
It feels such a shame to lose it.
Thanks in advance.

don't you only have to book by June rather than fly by June?0

No my outward leg needs to be before June sadly.I have asked them to extend it by a year based on the fact that we couldn’t travel to the US for 20 months So will just wait and see.0

Go to " Head For Points " they had an article on there where you booked a flight and then cancelled to extend your voucher BUT they are stopping this shortly so look it up.0

However, even without covid, there was never any guarantee of being able to use companion vouchers. I've lost them previously when I haven't been able to use in time. But HFP and Flyertalk re great resources for getting the best out of things points and vouchers. Best tip I can give is to book 355 days ahead of time to be in with the best chance of using them.0 -
