So my McAfee Total Security AV program keeps reminding me that my subscription is coming to an end. I decided to see what the renewal cost would be -

So then I thought lets look at Amazon and see how much it is on there and I'm absolutely flabbergasted. This is from Amazon and is the official McAfee store -

Official Amazon link - Amazon.co.uk:
So just remember to always check what you have set to auto renew and never take any auto renew deals as the best deals.

It's not a scam, it's simply their business model and Norton is much the same. Renewal costs from Norton is sky high and it's far cheaper to purchase a new copy. First thing I do each time I register with Norton is go in and remove the Autorenew tick.

Sounds like Putin saying my invasion behaviour is simply my buisness model so that makes it right ,right ?1 -
If you re running Windows 10 or 11 you don't need any additional AV program so just uninstall McAfee.3

That's just cold email marketing using their promotional banners.

I've been having need for renewal notices for months, 'from' McAfee and Norton ,saying that I had just a few days of cover left, back then. I use Plusnet's free McAfee based security, so knew there was no renewal necessary. I think it's another scam to get your bank details, as people are becoming familiar with the internet problem and huge win exercises.0
