Octopus smart meter tariff

I am confused. We had a smart meter fitted 2 weeks ago and I was confused as to why the cost was lower than our last week's usage. I have just discovered that the unit price on the smart meter is vastly lower to our tariff showing on our bill and online account. Anyone else had this?

Has Octopus sent out the correct tariff data to your ESME AND GSME (electricity and gas meters)? It can take a while for a supplier to take ownership of your meters. You should be able to see the tariff data in one of the IHD sub menus.0

I have no idea. How can I check?0

My account from my app shows a rate of:20.99p kwh and a standing charge of 24.03p per day but the ihd shows 14.87p kwh and 19.32p per day0

OK. You need to contact hello@octopus.energy Send them a photo showing the tariff that has been set in the IHD.1

Very roughly, your actual tariff is 1/3rd more than your IHD thinks. So if it says you've spent £1.50, you've really spent £2. And £3 is £4.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.

And just to be awkward, I sent a meter reading for the last 14 days and the rate is different again on the bill. It is only a penny per kwh but I guess it is the most up to date...until 1 April!0
