I've had about 4 raspberries too, but in my defence, all my raspberry canes are new this year. And TBH, currently swamped by borage. I've transplanted some forget-me-nots into the raspberry beds as ground cover, as apparently it makes a good companion for them.3

EH, you can get raspberries that go in a pot! Definitely worth having some 😊 These are my autumn fruiting allotment based ones, but I have some in back garden too - will grab a photo later as space is very limited for them but they produce bountifully.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Here are my garden raspberries- photo taken to show how little ground space they actually have. Usually have about 6 canes and they produce a lot of raspberries!

I need to set up the wires for my raspberries. As summer ones grow on last year's canes, they obviously haven't done much. The autumn ones are trying, but the frames and wires aren't set up, so they're collapsing everywhere!4

This year I left my raspberries to the birds as they were few and far between - Such a difference to last year when I was picking a small berry punnet every few days for months on end! I did however spot some blackberries (brambles) in a part of the garden I didn't bother to pay attention to this year! Both types of berries grow really well in poor soil and take up next to no room if you train them to grown up a fence or support!

I need to get my act together with raspberries. I've got a small patch in the veg garden which has barely produced anything, but which is popping up runners (are they runners?) all over the place, including all over the path.
Then I've got a massive unintentional path in the hay field, which is currently blocking the bathroom window with a vision of lovely raspberries which I can't get at because everything is so overgrown and the window only opens at the top so I can't reach 😂😂 Think I need to clear a path then transplant some of the field ones into the veg patch! They're all fruiting now (including the meagre veg patch ones) so I assume summer fruiting. I love raspberries so need to get on the case!4
