Well we’ve just had courgette and butter bean salad (here: https://www.riverford.co.uk/recipes/courgette-butterbean-salad) but with homegrown Borlotti beans instead (and the garlic was homegrown too). Very nice and there’s enough left for Mr MV’s lunch tomorrow. Just chilling in the garden now and we’ll have some strawberries and raspberries for dessert.
Glad I skipped Olio, I’m shattered.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
KC, I think that's stretching it a bit, but it is hugely satisfying to be putting stuff away for the autumn and winter and feel on top of the allotment/kitchen. I think I said before, it's such a pity the paid work thing gets in the way!
Thanks Swaying and RT - I'm very glad that the fleas don't have to be visited today!
Still sleeping terribly (and it's not even the heat), but feeling better than yesterday. New cats have been visited this morning, and I've got pizza dough proving for dinner tonight (Mr MV has requested white truffle and egg pizza - which was what we ate on the ship - it shouldn't be too tricky as we have some truffle oil). Supermarket delivery has just been and I managed to give back the two loaves of someone's else's shopping! Everything scanned, put away and I've already transmitted the barcodes for S&S 😇
I've also done a piece of work for a Scandinavian customer, checked something for the US client and done a little bit of Cambridge work (I woke up properly at 5.55, so I'll collapse later I'm sure!). Now onto work for main client for a bit and then Cambridge meeting (that I thought was happening yesterday).
In exciting news, Mum won tickets in the London Heritage weekend ballot for a tour of 10 Downing Street - and my Sis can't go, so I'm going! I've promised I will be on my best behaviour and not glue myself to anything! That's next Saturday and we're off to my hotel stay win on the Sunday, so a busy few days coming up.
MS things:
* PA surveys
* Clicks and HW
* Cleared a few MM surveys - didn't qualify, but got the 5 pts for not qualifying
* YG survey
* Most of the things from my supermarket delivery were on offer
Gratitudes:
* Downing Street visit!
* New cats are absolutely gorgeous and I had my toes nibbled when I was getting their breakfast! 😂
* Work - even though it's good having time to do gardening stuff, it's always concerning when there's very little for a few days
* All meals eaten in the garden 😊
Have a good day all - keep cool!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

How exciting about the Downing Street visit - I bet that will be fascinating!
And new cats nibbling your toes has got to be an improvement on what was nibbling various bits of you at their predecessors!

I wouldn't dare go anywhere near as I would probably land up getting arrested. Over the last few years I have lost any respect at all for government. I have found it interesting that once I no longer needed to earn a living my mute button seems to have stopped working.
