There is no reason they cant guarantee it, if they actually do what they are paid for. Every single thing is done. They just need to exchange the contracts.Thrugelmir said:
Solicitors will work towards propsed dates. They cannot guarantee them though.Snookie12cat said:
Thanks - Its only me and the seller in the chain and the seller and I have agreed a completion date between ourselves and just need the solicitors to finalise it.user1977 said:What has she actually said? Maybe you're misinterpreting things. Is everybody ready to exchange now (and agreed a completion date)?1 -
I would recommend avoiding completion on a Friday, if anything goes wrong then you have a couple of days where you are helpless.Thrugelmir said:
With a preference for Fridays so that theres the weekend to settle in.Snookie12cat said:Is it standard to do these separately with time in between?0 -

All the time, and every customer facing professional will have similar experiences. Think your doctor has never had a patient demand an inappropriate treatment based on their Google results?Thrugelmir said:
Yeah right. Does someone tell you how to do your job even though they've no idea what's involved ? As I doubt it.Snookie12cat said:

It's part of the job to talk people through the process and translate industry specific language into plain English. Just like you want your doctor to explain your diagnosis.1 -
And how many times has a Dr been wrong and said patient was correct in their diagnosis? People are not infallible - either they explain what is going on or they will be thought of as stalling or doing nothing.onylon said:
