Fitbit Ionic recall

Anyone else having problems reclaiming refund following the recall if the Ionic fitbit?  I have one but it won't charge up so can't link it to my account - have tried calling them, no joy, tried catting with them - they said they'd email me with an address to send my Amazon invoice to them but have heard nothing since.

    I've got same problem, had issues with ionic, removed it from app them wouldn't connect again, wont charge properly (gets hot when I try) screen is black so cant see anything either.  I ordered from Amazon so downloaded receipt and sent it but now fitbit say they need the serial number which is only on the box and I no longer have that. Sent them a picture of the device today with todays date next to it to prove I still had it.....just waiting now !

    I have been trying for 9 weeks to get my reimbursement, phoning, emailing. I even have a reference number for refund. Can't believe they are ignoring me. They came to me with recall and yet now up in the air....
  • Following the web page details I registered for a refund and stopped using my IONIC watch which was still working fine.

    The web page also offered a 40% discount for purchasing another Fitbit product which I used to buy another Fitbit watch.

    The web page stated they were offering a refund of $299 to Fitbit Ionic users.

    Eventually I received an email which started by saying it represented my refund, there was a card code number and the Mastercard symbol at the top of the page. I followed the registration and then realised that I had set up a B4B account? There was supposed to be a PayPal option but I do not believe It was made available to me.

    I have tried several times to access this account but each time it will not recognise me.

    I have called the contact Number but have been fobbed off with assurances that someone will contact me to resolve this and have never received a call back.

    But why was I only offered a B4B account? I expected to be able access the money directly but I believe this B4B card obligates me to spend the money. I am a pensioner and every penny counts why could they not simply refund the money to my bank?

    Any other complaints like this?


  • Registered for the  Voluntary Safety Recall of Fitbit Ionic Smartwatches via the appropriate Fitbit App back in May 2022 and I am still waiting for a response.

    The Fitbit customer service online fob you off with a different number to call.

    You had to stop the app to proceed with the recall so I have therefore not used my watch since May - is there really no where else we can go with this?

    I had the same - I've just used the B4B card like a spending card, so used it to buy things I would have bought anyway. You could just use it for Christmas spending or something? Sorry not to have any better advice.

    I submitted my application for a recall on my Fitbit Ionic back on 11th May 2022 and still waiting now as I write this email. I telephone them weekly and they keep saying the refund is in progress. This really isn't acceptable. Phoned today and still same excuse from them. The chap mentioned that this issue with regard the recall process has been on "The One Show"...not sure whether what he say's is true.
