Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark - air cooler than it has been, forecast is for a cooler but drier week - we'll see.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was disjointed, DS1 had LO veg curry with chips and naan, I had veg and rice, DH had egg and bacon roll as he was late in.
Yesterday work was busy but manageable - working at the other office today and it's my half day.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks, thanks for starting us off nmlc.I'm still cosy in my hotel bed though the smell of bacon is beginning to lure me out of it. Last night I barely managed to watch to the end of GBBM before nodding off, the remote control was still on the bed this morning.Today would have been my beloved DM's 94th birthday, I won't be sad for too long, I'm grateful she had 93 years of life and gave me mine.I'll not linger here, shower, pack, breakfast and go home is my plan. There'll be a little detour for provisions as my fridge at home is practically empty, I'm thinking of making lentil soup again as I really enjoyed it. Hopefully they'll be a call at some point about my new car, once home I'll have to clear out this one 😱 that'll be interesting.I'll catch up with peoples doings when at home. I feel the need to get up now. My thoughts to our poorlies, Happy Wednesday to all. It's good to be back.17

Morning all and thanks to NMLC for the start off. I had 3hrs sleep last night and been awake since 3am so I will be fit for nothing by this afternoon. Maybe a nana nap and/or an early night will be on the cards.
Yesterday I did get outside and pull up the remaining hedge roots, with the help of Mr Fix It, and I was dressed like Nanook of the north, sporting a snood and a beanie hat on top so you could only see my eyes 😂 I did give the post lady a bit of a fright too 😱 she brought me a letter from the health board. It seems all patients of our surgery have received a questionnaire as to whether the sister surgery, about 3 miles away, should be closed. Another cost cutting exercise by my surgery which can't cope with the patients they already have 🤬 It already changed it's appointment policy just before xmas, now making it near impossible to get one, I can foresee lots of people not being diagnosed with serious illnesses. The local rag is reporting that the new hospital is asking people not to attend for A&E either, they can't cope ! Sorry for the rant this early in the morning.
Mr Fix It has an early morning appointment with the vampire nurse today so afterwards we'll go on to the garden centre for our breakfast. I am hoping the meat van is parked up on the way home too as he likes their black pudding.
Right another cuppa calls, I need to shake myself.
Gers sorry cross posted, safe journey home.
Take care all, stay safe and keep well.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently16 -
Morning all
Could not get on at all yesterday as laptop died, but it seems I missed quite a lot, wont bring it all up again but well done to those who stepped in we cant have that sort of nastiness here xx
Off to work today and two lovely clients and one not so niceI do gtit my teeth such a lot on a wednesday ! Not sure about dinner tonight but might do a chicken and mushtoom noodle dish nice and easy.
DW to empty this morning and maybe a wash to go on, the rubbish and recycling are out, there is a load of boxes this week as we have had a lot of deliveries so I hope they take them all.
Gers glad you are back safe xxx
Mehefin sorry to hear about Riley xx
Have good days all xxx16 -
Morning All
Very wind out this morning but dry for now. Take care on your way home Gers, could be a tricky drive.
That's awful Nanny, hope you can do something about it. There's a new health centre close to where I work and a lot of the staff attend, apparently it's impossible to get a phone appointment let alone see a Doctor. Thankfully I've only had to speak to a Dr regarding a skin complaint this year, wouldn't like to be poorly though.
Nothing of note to report, good to hear from you Mehefin, sorry you have lost your furry pal.
Hope you get some energy soon dp1, it's been a long slog for you.
Thinking of the poorlies and hope the OH's legs are on the mend, thinking of Mr F Florence.
Have a happy Wednesday. Take care. XX15 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Brr yet another cold start but forecast to get up to double figures later! I also seem to have missed some drama on here yesterday. By the time I got back home posts had been deleted so I remain in the dark about it all.
I had my usual good Tuesday meet yesterday although df has some new health worries which concerned me. She has seen (yes actually seen in person!) her doctor and already has a follow up appointment at the hospital. She is much luckier with her surgery than I am. Ours sounds like yours NAN, it's almost impossible to get an appointment or even telephone advice. Anyway despite that we enjoyed our coffees, chat and lunch. The good news is I didn't succumb to fish and chips, but the bad news is we both chose the brunch which is just as calorific!
This morning DD is calling after the school drop to go through all the bags of stuff I still have here awaiting the local Homeless Not Hopeless branch taking in suitable clothes again. They have been inundated through all the restrictions but now accepting clothing again. There is another bag for the charity shop too so once that's all gone I shall have some valuable cupboard space back.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Thinking of NRA. MR FLORENCEM and MEHEFIN - RIP Riley Cat. NELS I am hoping you will soon find another cleaner. Take care one and and safe drive up home GERS. Hope NAN manages to a catch up on sleep later. xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Good morning, it's fine here. Thanks for starting NMLC.Nanny I feel your pain about Drs, our Drs are apparently back to normal, but it was difficult to get an appt before Covid (you've started me off now)! I won't say any more, except that I've been fortunate enough not to need a Dr in the last two years.Good to see you posting Mehefin, but sorry that Rileycat has gone.Gers, have a safe journey home. It's our wedding anniversary today, so we are going out for lunch, there's a restaurant in Durham we are going to try. We can get the bus in so DH can have a celebratory drink. We've been married 54 years today, people seemed to get married younger then, I was 20 and Dh nearly 22. Just kids really, yet within 2 years we'd saved up and bought a little house. with what was then a big mortgage. Different times.Izzy, hope your husband's knee is getting better, also Mr Florenceem, hope his leg is doing ok.NRA, thinking of you and your Dad.Hope everyone is ok, have a good day today folks.17

Morning
Well what a difference a creepy text makes! Sent one yesterday to the cleaner and she magically found a slot for this afternoon. If I had reacted on Monday and said what I wanted to say then she wouldn’t have been back ever, so sleeping on it worked to get a result for now. I need to strip the bed now and get that in the wash so glad I didn’t bother with the windows yesterday. Planning to speak to her about a regular slot too and hopefully this time I’ll find out the truth there's only so much creeping in me. Nan of course you can borrow my window cleaner but no sadly not a hunk
Got a call from the GP surgery to say they were coming round to give me the booster jab on Thurs. Glad to get it done just in case.
So today need to edit my shop for tomorrow. Still eating from stocks but do need a lot of veg and essentials. No stocking up here after so long cracking through existing stuff but I will be checking every price instead of the usual sleep ordering of the same stuff in the past.
Tonight I'm having some HM curry from the freezer...another bag gone
Gers glad you had a safe journey look forward to your reading about your adventures
Have a good day all
