You Are in Control or Maybe NOT!
As you were the one in control of the vehicle and therefore your clearly heavy right foot, you are 100% responsible. Your actions caused you to a) speed b) thus break the law c) drew the attention of the police and d) got issued with a fine. Even if your friend tried to persuade you to drive faster, it is your conscious decision whether to go along with their decision or not. Sorry, take it on the chin and pay up. Also learn your lesson for the next time you think of speeding, you may not be able to stop in time if someone steps out in front of you. Could be their fault, but it is you who is driving a lethal weapon.
