Riser/ Recliner from CareCo

Afternoon All,

Just wondering if anyone has ordered a riser/recliner chair from Careco? Looking to purchase one for my dad, would also need to pay for set-up of chair.

Just wondered what product quality/ customer service was like and if the set up cost is worth it? Thanks in advance.

  • My wife's had the CareCo cheapest rise/recline chair for just over three years.
    We would definitely buy another.

The mechanism still works perfectly. There is some wear visible on one arm where she constantly rests her elbow, but nothing major.
I'd doubt you'd need it to be set up professionally - it's just a chair with a plug & two remote controls.

thanks for the reply. From reading, these chairs come in 2 sections to get the into the house easier - from your experience was that the case?

Mine (not from CareCo) came in two sections, and I really struggled as I didnt have the dexterity or strength to assemble it. It seemed easy enough, there is a slot each side on the top section which slides in to slots each side on the bottom section - but you have to be fairly flexible and strong!

I would say to visit a store & see how it gets on with it.
In-laws had one (not from care co) and they are very heavy. Theirs did come in two parts to make it easier to get in & out of house. Sadly they never really got on with it as they could never get comfortable in it.

  • I am currently in dispute with careco, they use a subcontractor to deliver/set up mobility scooters, and that company cancelled set deliveries 3 times so I cancelled the order and asked for my cash card to be refunded £2600. Careco say I have to wait for their subcontractor to deliver the scooter back to them, THEN they will activate the refund from their h/o accounts dept who may take 5/10 days to phone me then I have to wait 3/5 days further for my CASH card to be refunded. Meanwhile, Careco did not tell their subcontractor (apparently) that I had cancelled, so 5 days after I had cancelled the order the subcontractor tried to deliver! Meanwhile, NOBODY from Careco accounts has phoned me to refund my £2600 for the scooter I never got...
