Nibe heat pump help!
Me and my partner recently moved into a 2 bedroom flat and have been experiencing some questionable behaviour from the heating. The property is has a good EPC rating and quote for energy was around £52 a month (which from reading other posts these two factors apparently mean nothing with this heat pump). We asked our neighbour to explain how to use this and he was very helpful in explaining his settings he uses but it’s costing way too much for us to run it this way, around £5-6 a day minimum! We both worm during the day and aren’t in every evening so this cost is incredibly high! I have tried reading the manuals to no understanding and have tinkered with the settings to which makes the light on the front go red … this actually brings the cost down as it’s not using as much heating but it’s still not seeming very efficient … does anyone know of any settings that are very low costing but still able to have hot water when needed. Thanks in advance

You want the flow temperature as low as possible. 35 degrees for underfloor heating, 45 degrees for radiators. Run the heat pump more-or-less continually with no more than 3 degrees set-back at night (and when you're out) and allow a good 2 hours to get back up to your normal comfort setting. If you can get a dual rate electricity tariff do the water heating on the cheap rate, as that is the least efficient usage. If it has weather compensation set that to on.

Welcome to the forum. There are a few threads on the forum about those, eg. this one which has a link to the manufacturer's manual:Stu_25 said:Me and my partner recently moved into a 2 bedroom flat and have been experiencing some questionable behaviour from the heating. ... does anyone know of any settings that are very low costing but still able to have hot water when needed.
