Filling in gaps / damaged floor boarding

Hi,
I'm planning on laying a new carpet, but before I do, I'd like to fix a few gaps and holes between the MDF floor boards.
Does anyone have any recommendations for filling the gaps? I wondered whether Polyfilla might do the trick?
It's an old house, so lots of hacks done by previous owners - unfortunately relaying the boards isn't an option as I don't have time to do that.

These are (to me) too minor to be worth filling in.
If you really wanted to, the technique I use for this is expanding foam and then saw, multitool and/or plane it flat.1 -
Thanks, I did wonder about expanding foam. It may be that I'll just do the bigger areas.FaceHead said:These are (to me) too minor to be worth filling in.

I made paper maché (PVA and shredded newspaper) to fill similar in the last place; worked pretty well. Don't worry about the thin gaps.

Once you have decent underlay down then carpet you'll probably not notice the gaps but you could lay some thin plywood over them.0
