Trouble getting export meter fitted to replace SMETS1

    That was the excuse used with FiT to avoid changing from deemed export, but I've never been able to prove it was real, it was just convenient to avoid having to deal with the data collection...

    I tried the instructions and this is what I get. There is no holding for 3 seconds (appears to do nothing), but a 1 second hold on select gives:

    SIG: 99

    Then holding for another second gives a RECO: then garbled display.

    That's disappointing, may be a firmware issue, but I'd guess there is not much chance of getting it updated :(

    Bulb do show an MPAN on my statement. It's still a dumb meter in that I need to supply a manual reading every month. Am I right the government are still pushing to make these smart again, with firmware updates? Assuming a good firmware update might this enable the export functionality on the meter? Can I get Bulb to do this?
