LANDIS GYR+ Prepayment Gas Meter (British Gas) 2013 installed
OK folks, same question about this meter, is it A proper smart meter, or just A clever prepayment meter...? Again debt paid off in 2019, just not the right time to upgrade to a DD meter with me suffering from stomach cancer. I would like to top it up with a view to getting to end of May on 30th/31st March to cushion the increase cost until proper warmer weather is around.. Only getting SSP and with a mortgage, its heat or eat scenario.
Thanks in advance
Karl

It would only be smart if paired with a smart electricity meter.Gas meters only talk to their paired leccy meter and the leccy meter talks to the outside world.1

Right, so its not connected in any physical way that I can see, but would it be a physical connection or wireless? They were not fitted together, although same supplier (British Gas) and I can not remember any sort of jiggery pokery being conducted by the fitters, even though it was 9 years ago! Thanks for your help.0

Of course it is wireless. It's the 21st century. But you electric prepayment meter is dumb, as I've told you at least three times.
