Section 8 possession court date

Good afternoon all
I have a tenant problem which as involved issuing a section 8 grounds 8, 10 & 11 and this afternoon i have completed the online forms/application for a court date to get the tenant out.
When submitting i received an immediate acknowledgement with an initial hearing date of a day in May. Can anyone that has used this service explain what they mean but an initial hearing? How many hearing would there be?
The reason for the possession is for the 2 month rent arrears (i.e. grounds 8)

Well s8g8 depends on arrears when it gets to court also (tenant may pay down to below 2 months) plus if judge informed of repairs not sorted may reduce arrears amount by his view of repair costs.
Rent isn't paid 4weekly is it? If so g8 doesn't apply. (And other frequencies)
There may be multiple hearings depending on the quality of your case & paperwork and likewise from tenant.
Was that May 2022? Is this related to the separating tenants?
Why not s21 please? What were his references and credit checks like please?
How did you find tenant please?2 -
Have you served an S21 alongside the S8 for rent arrears (just in case the tenant decides to pay to keep the court happy)?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1 -

Yes the rent is paid monthly
Yes its May 2022. No separating tenants. It is a sole tenancy
I did issue a S21 but the 2 months on the section wont be up until early April
References came back fine when the tenancy began over 4 years ago but i no longer have access to these references because the agency i used to find the tenant went bust last year (I need to make sure i have given a record of the references once this is over and i am found another tenant)0 -

I can see why you referred to the separating tenants. Last year i posted about a married couple that were tenants of mine that were separating.
That was another property i rent out but that went all well and straighforward
