Hotpoint Fridge Freezer
Product :-
5 year old Hotpoint FFA52P.1 Fridge Freezer
(Two compartments, top Fridge & the Bottom Freezer as standard)
The Problem :-
The fridge freezer light recently started to Blink ‘number of times’ when the top door is open and this happens when the fridge freezer compressor is running and as soon as the fridge freezer reaches the set temperature compressor stops running and the light stop blinking, then the light is permanently ‘On’ as normal.
This is a FROST FREE device.
I have spoken to Hotpoint technical guys and they have no idea on this technical issue.
If any of the Forum members got any solution to fix this issue, I will be very happy to hear that ! Thank you all, in advance.

I had problems with our Hotpoint F/F , lights flashing ,defrosting etc, turned it off at the wall and back on ,made no difference ,turned both dials down to zero ,left for 5 mins ,turned both thermostats back to normal and machine ok ,worth a try.0

When I spoke to Hotpoint technical guys, it was mentioned that the call out charge is £130 to £150 plus the parts + VAT.
Some times the visiting engineers can say the fridge freezer is too old etc.. etc.
Even the guy I spoke suggested that, if you have an engineering background it is better to "DIY"
The PCB fitting is depending on the Fridge Freezer Model, my model is FFAA52P.1 it was very easy, just remove the front top panel undoing both screws, then unplug electrical connectors and carefully replace the PCB. However the front fridge door has to remove, for that you may need a helping hand. If you need any other help, please do not hesitate to ask.
