Hotpoint Fridge Freezer

Product :-

5 year old Hotpoint FFA52P.1 Fridge Freezer 

(Two compartments, top Fridge & the Bottom Freezer as standard)

The Problem :-

The fridge freezer light recently started to Blink ‘number of times’ when the top door is open and this happens when the fridge freezer compressor is running and as soon as the fridge freezer reaches the set temperature compressor stops running and the light stop blinking, then the light is permanently ‘On’ as normal.

This is a FROST FREE device. 

I have spoken to Hotpoint technical guys and they have no idea on this technical issue.

If any of the Forum members got any solution to fix this issue, I will be very happy to hear that ! Thank you all, in advance.

From a quick Google, it seems it may be a circuit board problem, so you might want to go down that route.

Look at taking out a maintenance contract with Hotpoint, you have to pay monthly but can cancel it after a year. They came and did a lot on my 4 year old fridge/freezer, even replaced a whole door. Would have cost a fortune without the contract.

Solution : Replaced the fridge freezer Control Circuit Board (PCB)
Part Description = [ 2SND ELECTR.THERM. BOARD CB PNF MEC BI55 J00233795 ] then STOP light blinking when the compressor is 'ON'  Job Well Done !!!  Thanks Forum, for your comments.
