Is this a Good Fixed Deal - Scottish Power

Just a heads-up for anyone looking at Scottish Power 'fixed' tariffs: the ones I've looked at over the last couple of weeks give them the right to end the agreement with 42 days notice at any point they decide to.2

Yeah sounds like we're in the same boat. I'm waiting for a quote on solar at the moment via a home owner loan over 10 year's. Just not sure how much elec I can generate to offset the price - i.e will I save 50% on 75% on my bill0

Thanks Ultrasonic, I had already noticed this in their t&c, think vast majority of fixed deals probably have this in their contract 👍Ultrasonic said:Just a heads-up for anyone looking at Scottish Power 'fixed' tariffs: the ones I've looked at over the last couple of weeks give them the right to end the agreement with 42 days notice at any point they decide to.0 -

I can certainly see it becoming more common right now but I don't think this used to be true. It would stop me signing up for an expensive long term fix right now though as it's weighted very heavily against working out in the consumer's favour.AAW2233 said:

Edit: and it basically defeats the whole supposed selling point of a fix!1 -
Eon don't have a notice period ending their fixed tariffs early that I can see in their terms and conditions.
It states that prices will stay at the agreed price for the term of the agreement. With the usual caveats about vat and the government telling them to increase the price.1
