It might be due to some customers being unhappy about lateness of Octopus informing custimers directly of new flexible rates compared with other suppliers being as only 1 day difference in effective rates.
I suspect some didnt change to this version due to difference in rates/costs then when they saw more expensive newer version they then .......

Just as it was a £16 increase 2 days before...
With the way the gas prices are moving I'll be surprised if it isn't higher again very soon now...

Loyal Octopus 12M Fixed February 2022 v1  Back within currently available tariffs, just in case anyone wished they had changed before increased in price or indeed anyone changed to more expensive March version can ask to revert to cheaper version.

Hmmmm... How am I not seeing this? The only tariffs I can switch to are either the "Octopus 12M Fixed" or the "Loyal Octopus 12M Fixed"

You should see  Loyal Octopus 12M Fixed February 2022 v1 as opposed to what was more expensive Loyal Octopus 12M Fixed March 2022 v1
Ignore quote button, put postcode in let tariffs load, filter fixed/domestic, scroll to Loyal Octopus 12M Fixed February 2022, rates should match with tariff you see  https://octopus.energy/tariffs/

Depending upon where you are looking you may not always see the date and version as there is only ever one version current.
Right now, February 2022 v1 is current.
Check the rates and you should see the gas tariff is around 9.6p, when the March version was current it was over 11p. (prices vary by region).
Full details can be seen here, just ignore the quote button and enter your post code...
