Mortgage advice urgently required

Hi there

our situation we had DIP with a mortgage broker and now we have sold our house which gives us around 45k equity

the problem is I have 2 silly CCJs which are 4 years old - the one is closed and the other one I’ve been paying £100 a month off and now owe only 1.5k

No missed payments on anything for 4 years

combined we both earn 60k between us

so question is now we’ve sold our house and we’ve now found another house, will we be ok with getting a mortgage with a 10% deposit ?

just concerned about the 2 CCJs which are 4 years old

what’s everyone’s thoughts ?

I should also mention part of the equity will be used to close the CCJ in full

Obviously I expect to be paying a higher % mortgage rate

it’s just really worried that the house move will collapse because of the CCJs from early 2018

    thanks in advance
  • This is probably really obvious advice, but it is the best I can think of; look around for a mortgage broker that specialises in bad credit etc. A quick read online tells me it is possible, even with an unsatisfied CCJ, but I think a broker will help point you towards the lenders that are more likely to end to you and are more likely to have better rates. There's a way around most problems, with the right advice, good luck!

Try posting on this on the 'Mortgages & Endowments' forum instead. There are plenty of brokers that hang around there who may not see this thread.
