First ever skiing holiday coming up - any recommendations on good insurance cover

My other half and I are heading off on a mini break to the French alps  this week with friends.  My other half is going to give skiing a go but I’m not, although I will be doing some snowshoeing.  Can anyone recommend a decent winter sports travel policy

You’ve left your insurance a bit late ,it should always be booked when you book the holiday, what would have happened if you were ill and unable to go and had no insurance in place?

I don’t know of any specialist insurers, but there are some other threads on this board about companies that are treating Covid related issues more sympathetically than others,so you might want to start there. Whatever you book though make sure they are aware it must include sports and ski ing specific. Make sure as well that you have all your paperwork in order, France are still quite strict even for those fully vaccinated.
