So my nan (same one) also atrocious hearing and had a nightmare with the beeping hearing aids got some re-charable ones.

So no more beeping and she can now engage in conversations much more easily. Prior to this she would interject occasionally and laugh when nothing funny had been said to try and join in. Was awkward.

Was an instant improvement with these ones. Visits are so much easier with a two way dialogue

Is there a befriending service in the area? Could you contact them and maybe arrange to call your gran when they visit/support her to call you via a tablet etc.

You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time

In post No6, you mention setting up a POA for her.  I have just done this for myself and although the Covid situation has changed, it has taken absolutely ages to register.  At one stage they were 22 weeks behind, so if possible, I would address this matter asap.

Thank you, thats good to know, I'm visiting next weekend so will get all the paperwork ready to sign. There seems to be a lot of people hounding her for money (including the council) and she's so worried about it all and just doesn't understand whats going on :-(
Really should be doing some work...
