Now Ireland have removed theirs is it not time for us to follow suit ?
This is the first time in an eon we have had more restrictive travel hoops to jump through than those in The Republic.

That will be a matter for the government.
I think yes, as there are no countries on the red list at this time and passenger data can be sought from other sources, however under the present rules it is easier to check for unvaccinated arrivals using some sort of document, which in this case is the PLF. It also reduces queues at the UK border, which as someone who has on several occasions come in as one of the last of a large wave of flights to a smaller airport can only be a good thing.💙💛 💔0 -
It would seem the tests and the forms will be going from 4am Friday 18th March.

Yes great news.
Also great news is that BA have changed their mask wearing policy so on destinations where you don't have to wear them at the other end, then you don't need to wear them on the flight. At last.

At last.Heathrow have dropped the requirement to wear masks but do still recommend them. The only link I can find is Twitter - so apologies for this cut and pasteEffective from Wednesday 16 March, we'll remove the requirement for wearing face coverings at the airport. We still strongly encourage both colleagues & passengers to wear them, particularly when they come into close contact with others, but this will no longer be mandatory. 1/2I've also found this on the gatwick site under covid restrictionsAll flights currently operate to and from our North Terminal only. We recommend you wear a face covering whilst at the airport.Again 'recommending' only
