I'm chasing down my base load to see if I can make some savings.

And it looks like my Zanussi ZCI66250XA cooker is using 25W when in standby. I measured this by monitoring the Bright app, which pulls data from my smart meter.
That's hard to believe. Just imagine how hot a 25W incandescent bulb was.

We turn our oven and microwave off at the switch. Our hob is gas. I've other ways of telling the time.

I know, I'm very surprised. I shall use my new Tapo energy monitoring smart plugs to chase down the other base loads and update this post if I find the cooker is innocent of all crimes.
3 bed det. built 2021. 2 occupants at home all day. Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30i combi boiler heating to 19-20C from 6am to midnight, setback to 17.5C overnight, connected in EMS mode to Tado smart modulating thermostat. Annual gas usage 6000kWh; electricity 2000kWh.

Actually this is the exact direction I am coming from. I recently made a series connection for repairing two out of the four induction hobs that I have (Bomann, Rommelsbacher, Ciatronic and AmzChef). I am using a 100W bulb in the series connection.

Bomann and Rommelsbacher are operative. When I connected the Bomann hob, the 100W lamp did not light up except for the initial transient surge when the internal capacitors of the appliance charge for the first time after power-up. The Rommelsbacher though lights up the bulb to roughly 50%, meaning around 50Watts are being dissipated during stand-by, which is quite a lot for an electronic circuit.

My solution for the time being, turn-on the hob only when you want to use it, otherwise just turn them off from the mains.
